Man City Injury News As Erling Haaland Doubt Overshadows Two Players Passed Fit

Man City injury news as Erling Haaland doubt overshadows two players passed fit

Haaland a doubt for Man City trip to Arsenal

Manchester City will be without Erling Haaland for their trip to Arsenal on Wednesday after the striker was forced off in the first half of Sunday's win over Aston Villa.

The Norwegian was replaced by Julian Alvarez in the 29th minute after appearing to injure his ankle in a challenge with Villa defender Ezri Konsa.

Pep Guardiola said after the game that Haaland would be assessed on Monday, but the club have now confirmed that he will not be fit to face Arsenal.

Two players passed fit for Arsenal clash

However, there was some positive news for Guardiola as Kyle Walker and John Stones were both passed fit for the trip to the Emirates.

Walker has been out with a groin injury since the win over Tottenham on January 19, while Stones has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since the draw with Nottingham Forest on December 31.

Their return will be a boost for Guardiola, who is already without Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, and Rodri due to injury.

Haaland's absence a blow for Man City

Haaland has been in sensational form for Man City this season, scoring 31 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.

His absence will be a blow for Guardiola's side, who are looking to close the gap on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City are currently five points behind Arsenal, who have a game in hand.
