The basketball competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, are held from 27 July to 11 August 2024. Both the men's and women's tournaments feature 12 teams, with the top eight teams in each tournament qualifying through the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The remaining four teams in each tournament will qualify through continental tournaments.

The tournament will be played in a single-elimination format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals will be played in a single-elimination format, with the winners of the semifinals advancing to the gold medal game and the losers advancing to the bronze medal game.
