Argentina's Football Association Logo: A Rich History
Origins and Evolution
The Football Association of Argentina (AFA) logo has undergone several transformations throughout its history. The earliest known logo was used when the organization was known as the Asociación Argentina de Football (AAF). This logo featured a simple crest with the letters "AAF" inscribed within a circle.
The Current Logo
The current AFA logo was adopted in 1952. It consists of a navy blue shield with a yellow outline. Within the shield is a white sun disc with the letters "AFA" inscribed in blue. The sun disc is surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves, symbolizing victory and achievement. The logo also features the Argentine national flag, which is depicted in the upper part of the shield.
