Nick Mavar, a longtime deckhand on the Discovery Channel's reality fishing series "Deadliest Catch," passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2023, at the age of 59. Mavar's death was confirmed by family members and Discovery Channel.
Mavar had been a fixture on "Deadliest Catch" for 16 years, serving as the right-hand man to Captain Sig Hansen on the fishing vessel Northwestern.
